-----The Band - TIFFIN BOX----

Tiffin Box was founded by a bunch of boys who wanted to make music, interested in bringing a new genre of metal. They succeeded in their endeavor to create what like to call 'Tantric Metal'. While the Hindustani vocals and the Sanskrit shlokas give the music a melodic touch, the growls and screeches, along with heavy guitar riffs complement each other brilliantly, and at the same time, add power and aggression to the entire composition. The addition of frequently used jazz signatures and double bass grooves also influence the sound of the band to a great extent.

-----The Band - CIRCUIT----

It all started in mid 2010 i.e when 5 Loyolites who had similar musical interests decided to put together the *CIRCUIT*.

Immense talent n budding talent that has to be given way in order to make the ROCK scene bigger n better

Band Parikrama turns 20!

One of the India's best-Known and longest standing rock acts, "Parikrama", turns 20 today! Hearty Congratulations to the band and to all the one who was part this successful 20 yrs journey!

Parikrama Keyboardist Subir Malik shares with us 20 of the band's most memorable moments!
-- The debut concert: At Father Angel School, on September 15, 1991. Dilip (from Chennai), who played drums with us for almost 15 years (since October 1992), was in the audience then, front row, head banging!

-- Our first outstation concert: March 18, 1992, at Roorkie. We got a big bus, with a ‘Parikrama On Tour’ banner in the front.

-- Our first major train journey: To Chennai, in second class, non AC. Had all our friends along and had a blast.

-- The sight of our drummer’s legs: He had fallen head first, while playing at MCC Madras, protruding on top of the drum kit. He just fell in the middle of the song. Everyone was in splits.

-- The first AIDS awareness concert: On September 28, 1992, totally done and sponsored by Parikrama.

-- Chintan’s (bass guitarist) first electrocution on stage: We were playing at an all-girls college, which can be a major distraction!

-- Our first real fan frenzy: Thousands of beautiful undergraduate doctors at a Delhi college. We ended up playing for five hours.

-- Our first all-night concert: We played till six am and debuted our second original composition Gonna Get It...

-- First attempt at ‘riding the crowd’: I jumped into the crowd, and they, not knowing what it meant, just moved aside, and I fell five feet down.

-- Winning all major awards at a college fest: We turned professional after that show.

-- Debut concert at Mumbai, December 28, 1995: To silence a few front-rowers, I threw a Parikrama t-shirt towards a guy, and got it back on my face in a few seconds. The same guy, after the performance, came back and took my personal tee, with the whole band’s autograph.

-- Release of our first recorded single: Till I’m No One Again... Got our own website: And immediately released all our originals for free downloads. Using fireworks: We took the use of pyrotechniques and fireworks to another level. Welcome to the birth of showbiz!

-- Playing for Iron Maiden: March 17, 2007. The froth on the beer was when we finished our set and the organizer said, “Play more! Maiden wants you to play more.” Iron Maiden UK Tour: Iron Maiden invites us for a seven-city UK tour in June 2007.

-- Indonesia Tour: A fun-filled eight-city tour of Indonesia, December 2009. Used to get up at four am, take the flight, set up, sound check, play the gig, sleep by two am, up again, same schedule, next day, next city, next gig!

-- A trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos: Had sold out gigs and some unmentionable foods!

-- Representing India: At the prestigious Kennedy Centre, Washington DC. Amongst the audience were war veterans, Indians, Americans and people from all over the world. We got a standing ovation!

-- Twenty years down: Parikrama has completed 2 full decades, doing things our own way, not caring what critics say, playing the maximum number of gigs and still demanding the maximum money! And we are not stopping!
